Overview


ScoreSmart is a scoring software solution which receives data to render a quantitative evaluation (the ‘score’). ScoreSmart calculates scores based on the user-defined scorecards in real-time or in batch mode. ScoreSmart allows a business analyst or credit risk consultant to capture all types of additive scorecards using a graphical user interface (GUI). ScoreSmart covers all industries where scoring is required such as Credit Risk Management, Insurance

The main functional areas of this scoring software solution are:


The Scoring Engine

  • This is the heart of the technology, as it processes the data, calculates the score, and returns the results.

  • The Scoring Engine is able to host multiple scorecards for different products or classifications, and define alignment values for each.

ScoreSmart administration

  • The ScoreSmart administration component is used to define and configure all elements required for the scorecard to function.

  • This component enables you to set standard and derived characteristics andmanage the properties and scorecard ranges for each scorecard.

Batch scoring

  • This is a server component that calculates scores in batch mode by importing files received from the host system. Typically the batch scoring would be used for behavior scorecards.

  • The Batch scoring module can be scheduled to run automatically during overnight batch processing.

Real Time Scoring Service

  • Application processing systems often require an application score to be calculated in real time. ScoreSmart has a web-service interface that invokes the scoring engine on demand.
